Sam Gupta

Dr. Sam Gupta, known as “Dr. Sam” to patients and staff, graduated with honors from the University of Toronto. He immediately began to earn awards and certificates with a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and complex restorations. One of those recognitions was a gold medal for excellence in oral medicine and diagnosis, leading Dr. Sam to share his knowledge with dental students at University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry. He also participates in monthly continuing education courses to ensure that patients receive the benefits of updated skills and knowledge.

He knew, even as a child, that he wanted to become involved in the field of medicine. Dr. Sam gravitated to dentistry as a profession that combines the best of science and artistry. He says, “The hands-on component of dentistry appeals to me, as well as the opportunity to build rapport with patients.” His passion for dentistry might be compared to the enthusiasm others have for travel or car collections. “I find it very exciting that the field of dentistry always offers something new to learn,” Dr. Sam says. When asked what he enjoys most about the profession, he simply answers, “Everything!”

That is the primary reason he chose not to specialize in any one area. Dr. Sam embraces each day’s unique dental challenges with a natural knack for solving problems, enjoying the variety. “I make sure patients understand their options to make informed treatment decisions, so that we can work together toward dental and health goals.”

Although the practice continues to grow, Dr. Sam and his team maintain exceptional customer service. He personally makes it a priority to treat patients with respect and understanding, as if they were members of his own family. Patients often comment on his gentle, caring demeanor, and his attentiveness. With this sincere approach, he develops lasting relationships.

When Dr. Sam isn’t wearing his white coat, he likes to spend leisure time playing golf or squash, and his life outside of the office revolves around his two young sons. Dr. Sam likes to support local charities and sports teams, and volunteers his time at area churches to educate people and answer any questions they have regarding oral health and care.
